I know it is not used to treat a PA exaserbation...but I was under the impression it was used to treat the inflammation caused by colonized PA. I think I had also read somewhere that it may help disrupt the comunication between the PA to help deter exaserbations and/or (I can't remember) keep it from going mucoid.
But I have read (in mouse studies) that it helps inflammation of CF lungs even when no PA is present.
So I think I will pursue this with the Dr.
I did ask him about the ibuprofen and he said that they rarely put patients on that anymore because they were having too many negative side effects.

Have you noticed any negative side effects of using zithro MWF?
