Zoloft

I have just started back on Zoloft and I really don't have any desire for sex. I feel bad because I know my boyfriend wants to and sometimes I am in the mood but most of the time I can live without it. Anyone else have this side effect and if so how did you handle it?

I have never used zoloft or any other meds like it. One reason I am resistant to using them is just for the potential lack of sex drive. I already am battling a decline in interest, I cant imagine adding more to it. My understanding is that it is very common, but I dont have answers for you. I am sure one of the women who have used this or other meds can give some input!

Yeah, Zoloft does the same for me. My doctor told me though there's another one... welbutrin I think? Anyway, there's another antidepressant out there that doesn't have the sexual side-effects... you could try asking about that.

Wellbutrin is linked to seizures so if there is any history its not recommended. I know this from a friend & I am an epileptic.
