I get redman's as well and feel similar sensations along with severe itching of my scalp, hands and feet (not to mention the scarlet red that my skin turns). Benedryl will definitely help with that.....also, you might want to slow down the infusion.

The slowing of the infusion solved redman's for me! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

yup! redman's syndrome. the first time i got it i had been deeply asleep and i thought it was a nightmare. felt like a burning and itching under my skin, all over. benadryl 30 minutes before infusion solves the problem, presto!

The last time I was on vanco I had a 'pins and needles' sensation. It wasn't painful but it was uncomfortable, similar to itchy skin. I didn't have a rash, or redness but when my face started feeling funny I was put on benadryl and my infusion was slowed way down. I had been on vanc. for years and years and never felt anything like this. I only needed benadryl for 3 days and then the feeling didn't return. Good luck.
