this is exactly what they described, they are coming today to show me how to program it. It sounds really cool. My only hesitation is that I normally de-access myself each time I change my port bandage and take a shower so as long as it is not during a time that I am do for an infusion they said it should be no problem to stop for a bit.

Wow, 6 months, blah. I would have to get myself a fancy fanny pack if that were the case!

I tried to find a picture of it. I think it was a Baxter. It was really small, thus discreet and portable. We took them on vacation to the beach. I don't know why anyone would use an IV pole! In fact, we liked it so much we got rid of our IV poles at home. We had one in each boys' room for their g-tube feed pump. We put a hook in their window frame and keep the pump on their nightstand. Their rooms look much less "medical" now.
