<br />Thanks so much. Piper is on IV linezolid at least 4 times a year for a 3-4 week run. They're unwilling to use any type of SSRI at all, because of the seratonin syndrome risk. We toyed with the idea of just discontinuing an SSRI each time she started IVs, but the problem with that is the half-life of both the lino, and the SSRIs. She can't take vanc at all, unfortunately, she has a major reaction to it(worse than red mans). We're saving desensitization until the linezolid isn't effective. On the upside, Piper is starting CBT, which hopefully will give her some more coping mechanisms. I just hate that she has to deal with the anxiety on top of everything else she has to deal with. It's funny, because I started off pretty averse to using any type of med, now that I've changed my mind, we can't find one to use. Ugh.
