zyvox & colistin

Reece is doing great on it! Ive noticed a HUGE difference. Hes fever is gone, not coughing as much & hes breathing easier & slower & not tired all the time. He has about 8 more days left!

has anyone else had severe side affects while on Zyvox.
is there ANYTHING that helps?

Zyvox worked wonders but we are reluctant to use it again because of the side effects.

what kind of side effects are you talking about? Reece has had diaherra in the past but not this time. While in the past he also has had leg & foot pain I dont know if it was from the Zyvox or the other IVs hhe was on at the time.

severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. everything she ate ran right thru her. she was very embarrassed and uncomfortable.
after 11 days of the 14 day cycle we had to stop.
switched to Bactrim and never looked back.

hopefully we wont have to go thru that again, but it's good to know that it's there if we need it.
