Also, getting an ovulation predictor kit will help (but do see the doctor about the color- I had BV most of the time I was pregnant, and a couple of times during infertility treatments, and couldn't tell most of the time that it was still there. I was on continuous treatment for it- it went away after pregnancy and hasn't come back ). From what we had to do going through IUI, the sperm needs to be on its way/just arrived right before you ovulate, but since you are trying the natural way, I'd ask your ob/gyn about it .

See, the color is "close" to normal the whole first half of the cycle. Then right after OV, it becomes much more greenish-tinted and lasts until my period. It seems to be every cycle and stains my underwear. Not badly, though. Only a little. I knew it was kind of "tinted" but didn't really realize that after intercourse it was that bad... Like I said, it's embrassing.

There is NO ODOR, NO ITCHING, NO BURNING, CLOSE TO NORMAL CONSISTANCY. IT'S THE COLOR WHICH CHANGES MOSTLY RIGHT AFTER OV TO END OF CYCLE. The stains on my underwear aren't bad at all but there. I started wearing a "lightday" panty liner almost everyday 24/7 to see how much of a discolor there is. The pantiliner is green-tinted where the discharge would have been. On my undies, the stain is greenish-white tinted. The moderate greenish color is noted mostly and really only after sex. I'm thinking that's b/c of the "quick cleanout".

I'll call them on Monday and make an appointment. In most cases, you can get in within a week. If I call Monday, I should get in by Friday, when I have the car to actually go. Thank you for the advice!!!

Oh,

That's why I didn't mention it sooner too. Since I don't have the itching, burning, or anything else, I blamed it on the CF mucus. And that was that.

And yes for the past 3 months, I have tested positive for ovulation. I'm sure I was testing positive before that each month, but I wasn't using kits until 3 months ago. Also, my basal temps have proven that indeed I am ovulating. Intercourse has been perfectly timed. I'm just not getting pregnant. No way, no how...

I had a routine Pap and pelvic October 2006, which came back normal. Increased cervical mucus was noted, but no infection was present or anything else. So I'll go back this week and see what's up now...

Hello. I am Monique and I am 41 with 4 children. I could never get pregnant on my own. I went thru infertility. My cervical mucus was too thick for sperm to pass thru. Anyway, I had artificial inseminations with my husbands sperm. They by-pass your cervix and put the sperm past that. It then (obvisously) has to swim up the tubes, etc. I got pregnant the first insemination I had (my daughter is now 14). I went thru it two other times. Once it didn't work and the second time I misscarried. We decided to go thru it a third time and I had triplets! They are now 11, going to be 12 in Aug. -- Explaining this to you, I got pregnant almost everytime with the inseminations. I took pergonal and they monitored my cycles and I took HCG when the eggs were ready. I truly believe that if I wouldn't have such thick cervical mucus, I wouldn't have any trouble getting pregnant. My history shows it. Anyway, if you do know that you are ovulating and still not getting pregnant, I wouldn't waste any more time and go and get IUI's (inseminations). God is in control and it all works out, but I wish I would of went sooner. I had my first child and 27 and the triplets before my 30th birthday. Hope this helps.

I am trying to drag a drawing from my desk top to this reply - can't do it. Maybe someone can tell me what to do. I'll try to describe it.
The picture shows the crypts within the cervix - canals within the walls of the cervix that produce mucus and provide a place for sperm to rest & be nourished before making the next leg of the trip. We call them "sperm hotels" in natural family planning classes. Well, I'm wondering if these might be cervical mucus plugs? also, the time from ovulation until the period is when progesterone is the dominant hormone. Since you describe this type of mucus only in the luteal, or post ovulation phase, it may be related to progesterone.

I remember you saying you had the green cm and I figured you'd discussed this with the gyno since you'd been working on getting pregnant. From this post I now wonder if you've never mentioned it to them. To me green is infection. The body doesn't ever really produce green except when a matter is infected. For your own health, reproduction aside, get to the bottom of this.

In the meantime, have you done extensive web research on the subject? What does it say? I don't mean to be an alarmist but I think you should see the doctor in the next week. Ask for an emergency appt. if necessary. I have never heard anywhere else of green cm...only clear, white or yellow.

Isn't that why it was originally thought that CF women had a hard time getting pregnant.... ?????
