I am sick

Hi all,

I have a sinus virus thing-everyone in my area has had it, its inevitable that I finally caught it. I'm sneezing and have nasal congestion-no fever or coughing, thank God. But we want to keep it that way.
Also combined with the lack of sleep problem-I am not too happy right now. Last night I literally got 2 hours of sleep. And its not from the dust mites i don't think-my shoulders and neck hurt so bad from sleeping on my side and just general pregnancy aches, I don't sleep soundly at all. I also kept waking up from sinus pressure pain.

This is my routine-Extra Vit C, Zinc, Antioxidants, Garlic, I juice 3x a day, cold packs on my shoulders and face for pain, I'm irrigating my sinuses with saline also 3-4 x a day, drinking lots of water, vicks under my nose at night if I need it, and one extra aerosal treatment a day.
Any other suggestions? Specifically for the sinus issue? I don't want to take a medication thing unless I absolutely have to.

Do you take oil of oregano drops?

I am in the same boat right now- I have a sinus or lung thing going on. Just called my OBGYN to see what he says.
Hope you feel better!

Yep check with your doctor. I checked with my OBGYN and my High Risk and they said it was okay- but I don't use a lot of it and only when I need it. I may use it for a few days in a row at the most.

I don't have CF, but early in my pregnancy with Max I got hit with bronchitis one week and a nasty sinus infection a few weeks later. The sinus infection was the worst with the pain & pressure and I was worried about taking anything that would harm the baby. Went to the doctor and was given several short term, over the counter fixes (afrin, expectorant & tylenol with a decongestant for no more than 3 days), as well as an antibiotic. If you're feeling miserable, might be a good idea just to contact the doctor to see what you can take. Hope you're feeling better.

In college a friend of mine swore by hot lemonade with cayenne pepper in it <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Also, I seem to recall reading when I was pregnant that too much vitamin c during pregnancy wasn't good!!!
