Christian,
Thank you for telling me the impact my story had in your life. I am not very outspoken when it comes to having CF. The GMA story was a huge step for me. My vision in doing the story was to give others with CF hope. I wanted younger girls with CF to see how important it is to take the meds and do all they can do to stay healthy. I wanted other ladies with CF who are TTC or even just thinking of TTC to see that it can happen. It can be a long hard road but so worth it. I wanted Mothers of little ones with CF to see even more hope and promise held within their children. Knowing that my story helped just one person makes me so happy.
Best of luck to you and (((HUGS))).

Hey Chris, I love your nerve to ask. That's who I thought it was too but was to afraid to ask and be wrong.

Hey Anne, I justed wanted to let you know that your story really touched my heart too. I missed it when it originally aired in August but later discovered it in September on an internet search. I was so pleased to find it. That was the first time I saw anything on TV about CF'ers and pregnancy! I was sooo fascinated that I saved it on my laptop and showed it to my husband and family. I also posted it on this forum for all others to see. It definately helped my family see the reality of CF'ers wanting to conceive - and the possibilty of succcess. As a matter of fact, I think it is still saved to my computer. Anyway, thank very much for your story. One question - How did this story come up? Did you approach ABC news? Also, any advice that you could give me would be greatly appreciated!!!

I am new here, too. This is my first time to post to anything!

I am 30 years old with cf and have a 4 year old son. I have been reading this board off and on for several months while trying to conceive my second child. I have to say that the way you women have shared your stories and information has made me feel like part of something even while I haven't contributed. Reading your stories reminds me of my struggles to get pregnant and all that goes along with being a mom with cf. Now that I am finally pregnant again (Yeah !!!!), I can't help but share the joy! I am now almost 14 weeks along, due in June 2006. I just want to say thank you to those of you who have talked so openly about your struggles, routines, doctors, and all that is involved in the desicion to become a mom with cf. It is a decision to me made by each person and you ladies have covered many of the issues that are not often discussed. Thanks again for all the info you've passed on and I am excited to have others to share the pregnant experience with! I hope to talk to you all again soon.

HI Wendy!!! Welcome! You and I must be about the same in our pregnancy now-I am due June 26th!
I love to hear women with cf that are able to go back a 2nd time and do this. I esp am intrigued at how you delivered the first time at 38 weeks. So close to your normal due date. I've come across women that have delivered at 32, 34 weeks. And b/c of the cf my OB has said that I may be at risk for premature delivery-not b/c of anything with my body, just b/c of cf statistics. I am doing really well right now, and my cf is more stable than its ever been. But b/c of statistics, I am concerned about premature delivery. Its probably my number one worry. What do you think contributed to your delivering so close to normal due date?
