    Grad School and CF

It definitely depends on the school. Many schools have terrible student options for insurance, particularly those that do not have a medical school as part of their institution. You can look at the plan guidelines before you apply. It also varies from insurer to insurer about the full time...

    health care careers

There are lots of things you could do that wouldn't involve the type of patient contact and brutal hours that go a long with an MD, nursing, etc. You're 17, so as you look toward college, etc, doing your undergrad in Biology, or similar field would set you up well for some of my suggestions...

    Do you have Pseudomonas Aeruginosa?

I culture it sporadically - not every culture, but often enough that I know its down there even if it doesn't grow out. I take Tobi, and deal with it... the voice stuff is probably the worst side effect I experience from it. Chris 28 m w/cf

    Gentimycin

Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic, like Tobi. Both can impact hearing and balance. I took inhaled gentamicin for years, before Tobi was available. I would ask your physician why gentamicin is being proscribed given that it isn't formulated for inhalation, and will not penetrate...

    Schooling Advice?

I am also an adult pwcf, and I strongly agree with Emily. In my opinion, having a diagnosis of CF is not in itself a reason to homeschool. I went to public school all my life, moved away and went to college, grad school, etc. My parents raised me as a normal kid who had to do a bunch of...
