I was just approved in June 2012 and received back pay. I also worked with Beth's firm, they're amazing! Once my paperwork was submitted, I was approved within 3 weeks!! In order to receive back pay you must have a 'failed work attempt'. This means you have to prove you were receiving a paycheck...

JENNYC - How did you convince the Dr's to let you try Kalydeco? Is it because Kalydeco been show to help with that mutation 2585delT? I have double DF508 and I begged to try it (because you never know, right?) and was told no.

WTF, Why are we all so different?

So, I'm really curious if any of you have thoughts on this. I've been searching the forum lately looking at genotype and age compaired to FEV and we appear to be ALL OVER the place. I read about an older gentleman in his 50's who's FEV is 100 (or so) and his brother with CF died in the 70's...

    Hemoptysis

I had my first hemoptysis when I was 7 mos pregnant. It was mild, I'd say just a few tbsp of blood. Since it had never happened (and I was pregnant) I was terrified and called 911 and was taken to the hospital. The bleeding stopped within minutes but I had 2 more bleeds that same week (all that...

    PFTs and Pregnancy

I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and my PTF's have dropped about 11%. I started in the mid 50's and have dropped as low as the high 30's. I've been threatened with IV's in the past week but since I've stabilized with just an 11% drop were holding off. I have been at least twice as congested as...

    I'm refusing a picc

hillthkhore- It appears picc lines are the norm now (I haven't been hospitalized in 26 years). The idea of running a tube through my vein to my heart just seems excessive and dangerous for a 14 day course of med's. The thought of it is terrifying.
