Great! I'm doing the same thing, but at this point I am aiming for 50% from being 25-30% for a few years. So far I have made some big changes related to diet and daily exercise (treadmill for 40 mins every morning without fail).
Very keen I hear your progress and any tips! It's a huge challenge but I am convinced that it is possible. I would love hear from others who have done it!</end quote>

Well to give a more accurate statement, I could have been below 30 for longer than I know. But I didn't have insurance for 9 months and didn't get PFT's in that 9 months.... Before the 9 months I was 44 FEV1 @ UPMC and then 1 year later (9 months + the 44 was right after a hospitalization) I'm at 26 FEV1... the downturn started somewhere in the middle of that 12 month period.. so it's hard to say. That being said I'll post any tips I have when I prove them successful, I would hate to tell someone to do something that would have a negative effect. But in any event, my goal is 60 obtainable, I believe it's possible. The human body is remarkable and God has engineered amazing mechanisms into it that people have just begun to uncover, a lot of it is mind over matter. The remainder is hard work and God's grace.
Besides exercise and treatments what are you doing. Does anyone have ideas for inflammation.
Has anyone ever looked at Bosweilla(frankinsense) for inflammation.

Not doing much special yet. I have a few things on order that I am going to try, they should be here by the end of the week. Taking 2400mg of Mucinex daily has helped a lot. One of the alternative medications I have coming to me is very promising and even have positive reinforcement in CF in some PubMed publications. I won't say what it is yet, I want to see what my results are. I'll be ordering some Haritaki. I'm more worried about getting rid of SA and PA. If I can get rid of those, the inflammation will go away. In the process of seeing the Endocrine Dr. to get on a testosterone and HGH HRT, should see some positive lung function improvement from that alone.

EDIT: Also for anyone wonder, I was prescribed Mucinex. Usually a box of 20 cost around $15 with the prescription I get 120 for $1 because my insurance pays for it. I asked the doctor and they said it was a great idea and had no problems writing me the script. Previously I paid for it out of pocket.
