I don't understand the original message "Sub 40 1/2 years" what does that mean?

How did you go from an FEV1 of 26 to 60%?</end quote>

Sub (meaning below 40FEV1) for over 1 1/2 years. I didn't go from 26 to 60 yet. I just updated yesterday that I'm only upto 29% right now.
@HisAngel, I agree with everything you are saying! Great to see someone else has had a positive experience from exercise as well.

@BikerEd, Havoc goes to UPMC which is in Pittsburgh, I lived in Pittsburgh for about 2 years and went to UPMC as well. I go to the Pearlman Center for Advanced Medicine @ HUP. However I can not stand UPENN inpatient, the food is horrible and it's just old, don't really dig it.

I see Dr.Hadjiladis and some new guy Dan, not sure of his last name. There food is horrible and I have been to a lot of hospitals so I can say that with confidence. Small cans is portion control and cost saving vs amount of wasted product. They tried to tell me they where going to give me herpin shots daily, i told them to go fly a kite.... Then they told me if i didn't want herprin shots i had to do some leg massagers, I again told them to go fly a kite.

Update: I have started the inhalation of colloidal silver. In a matter of 3 days I have gone from moderate mucus production of green/yellow to today, of a stringy white/clear and cough is almost completely gone.

One measurement I often use to find out how airways are doing is to sing. 2 days after starting the colloidal silver, I have been able to sing for about 3 hours straight, without SOB. At a fairly good volume and able to hit notes I have not hit in over 3 years, and no I am not exaggerating. I will continue the use of it for a few more days and then stop. The true test will be when i find out what I culture at my next appointment. I am on no other ABX ATM.

I am NOT condoning the use of colloidal silver, those interested should use at your own discretion and perform their own research. If you don't know where to research you probably shouldn't be doing it.

I see Dr. Hadjiladis as well; I like him and Maryanne is pretty cool too. I've seen my fair share of hospitals and I have to agree, they have the worst food and some of the most ridiculous protocols. I think the unit I was on they def are not used to CF. Gowns and "sometimes" gloves to come into my room, but since there never seemed to be enough food, they told me I could walk out of my room to the cafeteria, or gift shop, hell on time I left the hospital completely to get Chinese. Onetime I had just eaten dinner followed up by a snickers bar so my blood sugar was high, and some nurse thought she was going to stick me with insulin. I told her to come back in 30 minutes when my pancreas would catch up with the rest of my body, she look at me like I was some kind of child and said "that's not what the doctor said" she really looked surprised when I said I don't give a sh*t.

Singing is what I do for airway clearance and Doc H agrees. However, I'm not too concerned about hitting the notes since I like loud angry music, or Irish Punk, I go for volume. How are you checking your PFT's daily, you got s machine or something??

and What is Colloidal Silver?
