I'm assuming you are not in the US the way you mention the USA. So far, cough is still decreased. Slight cough in the morning productive for maybe 1 or 2 coughs, but dime size or smaller amounts of clear/white mucus. Where as only a few days ago I had a couple teaspoons of mucus and cough all day. I would say I am still seeing improvement and it has not plateaued yet. As far as the R-ALA yes to raise gluthione levels in theory, I don't know what they are though. I do notice improvement taking it. I am taking 600mg/day. I do not take NAC. I have widespread BXIS throughout. Sorry to hear that you seem to be running out of options, keep searching and do what works! There is a product called Oxyboost out there, works on a simple concept and stands to reason why it would work. I'm not sure it is effective against your bugs though. You may want to look out for it. If you are interested send me a PM, I'll see if I can dig it up. It's worth a shot at this point if anything else works, or at least that's how I see things and why I was so eager to try Colloidal Silver.

I am in hamilton, ontario canada and go to the toronto cf clinic which is an ordeal on its own...its only an hr drive in good traffic, but then at clinic its a long wait...usually 4 hrs to be seen by the dr. and then traffic home will be a 2.5 hr drive...just crazy....usually 2 drs see 30 ish patients and each case is difficult and they spend alot of time with each person...
ok so i cant get mucinex here, but can get guifasein(sp) 400 mg tablets, at local pharmacy, so i ll go with that.
I ll just stay with NAC, as its supposed to raise gluthione levels...(im going to ask if gluth. level can be checked) also I read that if gluthione is taken orally you need 3grams to reach the cellular level...im only taking 1500mg so i ll double that....
colloidal silver didnt help, and i will check some health food stores for the oxyboost, have you tried it and whats it supposed to do? I will let you know if I can find it.

Update: Have not been to clinic yet after starting the daily colloidal silver, however mucus production as of today is 0, completely dry cough. Have not had Tobi or inhaled Fortaz in over 2 months. PFT's on November 30th.

Wow! Your mucus is down to 0? Thats awesome indeed. Keep up the good work, can not wait to see what your PFT's will be! I have done a lot of reading on the cs on the net, and it seems like it has many benefits. However, there are so many varieties it seems in the health food stores. Can you tell me, which one you are using, and how much or what mixture you are using in your neb? My husband has been coughing up tons of gunk, to the point of gagging on it. I would love for him to try the coll. silver. Many Thanks! Angel~

I was going to reply to you before, but the forum crashed... anyhow. Yeah it's down to zero. Still is at zero. My process was this:

So everyone can know...

I bought Mesosilver from Colloidsforlife.com.... for 20 days I did 3ml orally twice on the first day, then the follow 19 days I did 3ml's orally once daily. On the 21st day I am inhaling 2.5ml's twice a day. I will do this until I get the results of my cultures back from clinic and decide what to do from that point. (ETA for cultures will be Dec 3rd?).

My quality of life has increased DRAMATICALLY after starting Colloidal Silver. I am taking Colloidal Silver and my inhales along with 2400mg of Mucinex a day basically and nothing else. I'm almost ready to cut off mucinex completely but I feel it may help open my airways not sure on why. I am not recommending or imply to anyone that if you take Mesosilver or colloidal silver that you would be able to do this or SHOULD do this.

I am now able to sleep on my back if I want or in any position, I get a full nights sleep, I have no issues sleeping anymore, no coughing at night. 95% less cough through out the day. I am hoping to cut Ventolin out of my regime because it causes me to have a high resting heart rate. I am using the iPhone 4 app to monitor my heart rate, I recommend it to anyone who has an iPhone for. It is the same one that Ennio wrote about on the CF Technology page, and I should give him credit as that is where I found it.

Soon, once I can fall in some money (yeah right) I will add NAC, and ALA to my daily supps.

For the people who are interested in trying Colloidal Silver, there are many brands, and you can also make it home made. Just keep in mind home made is not a good choice, as it is cheap, but you have a much better chance of getting Argyria (turning blue) because of how large the silver is when you make it by yourself. I would only recommend buying it from a REPUTABLE company. Mesosilver is one of those, made my Purest Colloids and Dist by Colloidsforlife.com. There are other brands, that just happens to be the one I am using.

Forgive me if you already answered this. Are you currently doing the Pulmozyme (Dornase) daily? I am just curious about this. Also I visited that site you were discussing where you were buying "Mesosilver from Colloidsforlife.com" 1 bottle is about $24 and I was thinking about getting this for my son. However, after reading their recommended dosage Quote from their site "The recommended dosage is
one tablespoon 4 times a day. 
At a dosage of 4 tablespoons per day 1 bottle will last 4 days, 4 bottles
will last 17 days and, 10 bottles will last 6 weeks." That price?? Ouch! Also getting my son to take his enzymes (he takes about 16 pills a day) his other vitamins supplements twice daily as well, it would be quit hard to take this product 4 times a day. How do you manage the price on this? trying not to get personal with you here.
