That is incorrect. As stated in my last post, gene therapy involves inserting a new functional CFTR gene, so it DOESN'T matter which mutations (or classes of mutation) you have.

My sputum has always been green - (sometimes lightish but mainly murky coloured). I grow psuedo and I grew staph up until february this year. I can't say I noticed a change in my sputum when the staph disappeared though.
I have ABPA and when it flares up I tend to get a clear stringy type of...

I don't post often, but I read the boards regularly and felt compelled to add my story!
This was several years ago - I'd been in hospital for 4 weeks on a number of different IV antibiotics and after feeling slightly better (and deciding I'd had enough of the hospital) I was allowed home...

I cultured staph for over 10 years until in Feb this year when I was put on a month of gentamycin nebs. I've had staph-free sputum samples since March.
