My sputum has always been green - (sometimes lightish but mainly murky coloured). I grow psuedo and I grew staph up until february this year. I can't say I noticed a change in my sputum when the staph disappeared though. I have ABPA and when it flares up I tend to get a clear stringy type of...

I cultured staph for over 10 years until in Feb this year when I was put on a month of gentamycin nebs. I've had staph-free sputum samples since March. *fingers crossed it stays away!*
