    Norfolk, VA Clinic

I'm pretty sure there is a pediatric clinic at Fairfax Hospital which would be much closer for you. I live in the Northern VA area myself but don't go to a CF clinic.

    Norfolk, VA Clinic

I went there as a kid and loved it. Dr. Rubio was there then, and I believe he was fairly well known in the CF world. However, I expect it's no longer him as he was getting on in years when I was there. Also, there were some wonderful nurses. Sorry I have no recent information on that clinic.

    Dental Problems from Meds?

I read once--can't remember where--that cf patients generally have a lower incidence of cavities than the general population. However, the teeth tend to be discolored. According to wherever I read this, both are probably the result of early and frequent use of antibiotics. Given my pathetic...

    singing with CF

Jessica, Part of what I do as a teacher is teach music to grades 4-6. It's more difficult now than it used to be since my voice comes and goes quite a bit from congestion and coughing. At a workshop, a guy asked me if perhaps my voice loss came from straining my throat rather than...

    bronchoscopy culture sample

The only time my sample from a bronch grew nothing was when I was on a lot of antibiotic at the time they did it. I'm guessing that wasn't the case for you since the doctor was trying to figure out what was growing.
