Nebulized antibiotics

Wow--rot your curtains! I never knew this stuff was so powerful! It does do bad things to my car windows/windshield definitely. I always watch the road through neb-glazed glass.

This is an interesting topic--definitely a new thought to me.

    Nebulized antibiotics

That's funny because my brother-in-law always jokes with me, telling me he's probably going to die from "second-hand nebs." Really, though, I've never heard anybody say there's a problem with it. I do my nebs around my family and friends on a regular basis and know nothing of such filters.

    What would you do??

Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time, Caitlin. Have you ever tried those Sudafed menthol plug-ins? I think they are still out there, although they may be marketed under a different name now. Basically, it's like an air freshener but is medicated. That works better for me than...

    Blood donation

Interesting that some of you weren't allowed to donate due to CF. As far as I knew, the only problem the Red Cross would have with us is the antibiotic. Typically that lets me out, and now I do zithromax, so there's no way. However, once when I was antibiotic free they did let me donate. I...

Washington DC area: Adult CF Center

Don't know anything about it--sorry. I went there once to take a friend to have her wisdom teeth out, but no helpful information in that.

Richmond would be a couple of hours from there, and I think Charlottesville is about the same--not sure on that one, but Brad probably knows. Fairfax would be within about 30 minutes and should be an easy trip unless you decide to do it during rush hour =)

    inhaled vanco

Is the inhaled Vanco used for maintenance of MRSA like Tobi/Colistin/Cayston are for PA? It doesn't seem like it's used very commonly.

Washington DC area: Adult CF Center

Fairfax Hospital (in Northern VA) has a clinic for children. They generally keep them well into their 20's but probably wouldn't take someone who is already "grown up." A friend of mine finally was told she had to leave that program and was sent to another doctor who is, I think, in Fairfax...
