I know a handful of people now who have Kalydeco covered by insurance at a reasonable co-pay and no insurance hassle.
And they don't have G551D.
So have hope! You never know with insurance until you try....

several of us have had low co-pays and no hassles with insurance, so its definitely worth getting an Rx and giving it a try.
i hate that everyone is just assuming Kalydeco is out of reach because insurance won't cover or co-pays will be too high. you never know unless you try!

Ya I was fully prepared to ask other CF docs (I know a few that would have given it to me) if mine didn't. I think your outlook is perfect. There was no way I wasn't going to try the drug.... just to try.
