The Enzyme Problem has been very frustrating, I agree!! It was very tricky (and very MESSY) to figure out how to get the Creon to go through the tube. She seems to absorb her feeds better now getting the second dose halfway through the feed before I go to bed and we all get more sleep now (she...

Emily's baseline has changed over the last few years, and each minor change has occurred around the time of big exacerbations. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> So that may be what has happened here. Her fev1 is very very good too (well over 100%), although her...

I am seeing advanced search where it's always been... on the sidebar below the forum category listing, above forum sponsors. It's a clickable link below the field for the basic forum search. The Google-style search on the top taskbar is pretty useless... I don't like that one at all.

Re. error messages when trying to use search: I am experimenting with advanced search right now.
1/ I first did a search just using my user name and it returned a list of threads (that did work when I clicked on them.)

Pale + sunken eyes + circles make me think of dehydration off the top of my head...? Even if she doesn't seem obviously dried out I might consider running some clear fluids overnight and see if she looks better in the morning. I have no idea if it's a steroid side effect (2 doses doesn't seem...

Our routine is as Liza posted above- Emily does her albuterol prior to Pulmozyme during her bedtime tx. She used to use an inhaler; now she nebs it and when it's done she starts Pulmozyme.

Re. those that have been told Mucinex has a drying effect... I don't understand that at all. Guaifenesin (as an expectorant) helps loosen up mucus by thinning it, it is antihistamines- a different type of drug entirely- that dry it out. I'd think those with CF would benefit from products that...
