    second opinion about treatment

Hello! Hypertonic Saline seems a pretty good prevention. Ventolin is quite harsh though, so if she's not feeling out of breath I would't do it (it makes you feel uncomfortable with high pulse, in my experience). Feel free to read my story (link below) to see what other things I have done...

    My daughter was just diagnosed

Hello and greetings from Spain! I was diagnosed when 2 years of age. I am 31 years old, live an active life, graduated from college with honors, and have a boyfriend. There is life with CF, as you can see in this site - lots of adults! It's a day-to-day process and takes loads of time and...

    Port Accessed and Shower questions

In Spain the protocol is to change the needle once a week. I usually use Tegaderm for dressing, and that's waterproof, so it lasts about 3-4 days in spite of showers.

    TOBI

Colistin started giving me intolerance after 14 years of using it (brochoespasm). <br>I went on to Tobi and realized on the month off, I was getting sick. Doctor said I could take it continuously but that ends up giving me buzz in my ears (I'm over-sensitive after megadoses of tobramicine in...

    MMS

Liz: I've been using (just for a couple weeks) LifeWave Aeon patches. They don't introduce any substance (whether natural or chemical) in your body, just activate Chinese meridian points. A friend told me about them, who had been using another type of the same brand, with very good results on...

    Albert Einstein and Cystic Fibrosis?

I was going to say the same about Chopin. I live in Mallorca, where he lived his last years, and the reports of his symptoms match exactly CF, so the local association has even done a movie about it (in order to spread awareness and collect funds). Why would Einstein have CF? Who claims it? You...
