My dd has horrible allergies to Augmentin (not sure what the name is in the US). Then it seemed like she was getting allergic to Bactrim, Rifadin etc, I was really panicked! Then we ran some allergy tests on these drugs and only augmentin came out positive. The allergist told us that the rash...
My dd of almost 4 is on neither. Her dr maintains that there is a risk/benefit to every med and she judges that at this point there is more risk than benefit. HTS could be irritating to the airways of little ones and there is also a risk of contmination from the equipment.

you heard wrong. The mechanism behind the drug does not depend on anyparticular germ. I am not sure it will get of PA though if a patient is already colonized.

good article. I have been kind of following these guidelines with my dd w/cf. Could not cut out the milk part though, but try to give her goat milk yogurt when possible.

have you tried coconut oil? I had great result with it, it is digested more easily than other oils. I don't have any advice on recipes since I am not in the US, but IMO whatever you do, try to keep her diet as healthy as possible.
