I am not sure tumeric works, I have been giving it to my dd for several years with no noticeable changes. I think you need to take huge amounts for it to act against inflammation, and at that level it is cancerous (according to studies).

just wanted to add that wbc is a very impotant pointer. my dd always (almost) cultures something and very often our doctor decides on whether to treat based on wbc count (that indicates infection if high)

We never get any results before 72 hours. After that they leave it for I think 14 days to check for fungi. Once a year they grow it I think for 21 days (not sure what they check for). I am in Europe though, not sure what the protocol is in the US

i am not a biologist, but i agree with most of what you say. Like Caro46 i have doubts about plants though? we were told to avoid them b/c of risk of PA. Very interesting on bleach, i do my best to avoid it and use vinegear instead.

We don't use humidifier, still water is too risky when it comes to germs. I have a purifier with a hepa filter and prefilter. It does not eliminate germs (I don't expect it to at least for that price), but gets the air cleaner. Be sure to change the filters often if you get one, otherwise it...
