I guess it depends on how much work is involved. I don't know how much work the CEO of the CFF does, but I can say that I have seen volunteers hold down a full time job and sometimes an additional part time job and are still willing to go on a 3am chest pain call, or respond to a structure...

I'm a human and I don't act like that. It's not my responsibility to plug any drain, it's the responsibility of the individual to act like an adult, temper any initial reaction to flame and respond with relevant scientific data to support their assertions.
