29M, Low RBC, Hematocrit, and Hemoglobin Levels and Fatigued

Other than the kind of caffeine-like boost that you get with high percentage oxygen, no. That and you would likely eventually develop a tolerance to high concentration oxygen and coming down to 21% would be like, trying to run a marathon at high altitude. If anything sleeping with O2 would be...

29M, Low RBC, Hematocrit, and Hemoglobin Levels and Fatigued

Do you have a lot of GI problems? The first thing that comes to mind with a low HgB/HCT and fatigue is a GI bleed. Sometimes you will see red blood, but more often the blood is old and will appear dark like tar in the stool (although the iron supplements will cause dark stool as well)...

Do your hands wrinkle excessively when you swim?

I haven't noticed anything on the computer keyboard, but I do notice a buildup around my mouse at times. I can also oxidize metal like nobody's business.

I agree that HbA1c, used alone, is not a good diagnostic for CFRD. Could you cite the study that shows that an HbA1c >5.3 is abnormal?

Caryn, You mentioned being below 120mg/dl after meals, how long after meals? Also, what kind of diet do you normally have. You might be leaning toward CFRD, but don't notice it if you keep a good balanced diet without a lot of simple carbs. The OGTT, being a megadose of glucose, might have...
