shortened cervical length - how is this treated?
Bonnie-If I were you just until you get everything checked out I woudl try lying down with the vest on and see how that goes if it doesnt work (I havent tried it) then I would have htat be 30 min you are upright but be laying down the rest of the day. Getitng sick woudl further complicate things so I woudl go conservative by biasing in favor of coughing and treatments. Could you do pep or acapella laying down on your side?
If you are feeling a pressure or back pain just know that that can be contractions, this early it can be hard to differentiate between contractions and pressure so you should get checked out if you feel it necessary--go with your gut.
Are you with a perinatologits? If you are not you definately want to ask for a referral for one. Take care and hang in there. Even if your FFN is positive they will start administering steroids to accelerate lung development and most babies do very well. 32 weeks is a 'magic date' at which the babies really do pretty well these days so dont fret you are getting there!
