Hey Jimmy, Another great person our military is going to miss out on. Like many others have mentioned here, unfortunantly they won't take you with CF. The first priority for the military is the military. My husband is retired AF. We both come from a military family, it's the only life we've known until now. The same goes for our girls. They too would love to join the AF and hate the fact that they can't. It ticked them off when they'd start getting the recruiting stuff senior year because they can't join. Trying to scam through a physical is a dumb idea. They will find out and then you're up a creek. Here's what we told our girls, go to college, get your degree, and work for the military as a civilian. No, it's not the same as being an active duty member but many of the same benefits are there. Working for your country, travel, & health care. Good luck in your choices and keep up the good work in keeping yourself healthy.

Hey Jimmy!

My husband is an officer in the Navy, so I know a little bit about all of this stuff. First off, if you want to be a politician, you need to go to college before you even attempt to join the military. If you join after you have your degree, you will be an officer in the military instead of being enlisted. It would be much easier for you to get into politics that way, by building up your connections with fellow officers. Plus, I don't think they allow CFer's to join the military right now, so maybe the policy will change during your time in college. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do! Kick butt and take names! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
