A disease is medically considered terminal when there are no further treatment options left and death is standing on the door. I know that CF has no cure, but its symtoms can be treated effectivly for a time. My neighbour had incurable cancer, but it was only when it had spread and months later she was bedridden, and began to drift off was she medically 'terminal'. She used to tell us "No, they say it's not terminal yet!". There's a difference between incurable and terminal.
