Life isn't terminal either. It's finite. Life isn't a disease. It's a pain in the bum occasionally, but not a biological disorder.</end quote>

Depends on your definition of terminal and how you view life I suppose. I've always viewed 'life' as infinite since there is always something 'living' in the world whether you have died or not.

This whole argument seems to be about semantics/personal views.

This is somewhat of a semantical argument. Consider: obesity is considered a disease too, but most obese people don't think of themselves as terminal, even though it will eventually kill them. With all the progress being made in cf treatments, many with mild variations of CF shouldn't consider their disease terminal until it becomes such. Every person is fatally flawed, just some worse than others. I don't think there are any perfect people. You will disagree, but it depends on your religious worldview.

Another thing to think about is the fact that the study of genetics has become so advanced that geneticists are able to tell what diseases many people are predisposed to develop. EX: Breast Cancer Gene Many women have had mastectomies(sp) before even developing cancer.

I take offense (not to jfarel, he was just the messenger) to those out there that call Predispositions to Obesity, drug addictions etc, a "disease". Such things are based on CHOICES.

I guess we all have something to say, even if nothing is said. You know a topic is a hot button when people continue to comment even though the original post was deleted....(faust's) .....sick people...hahah

Here is a thought:
Life your life to the fullest, you never know when it's your appointed time to die, CF or perfect health.
