A CFer's fingernails

Hello!

I dont have CF and my fingernails are weak and peal! I cant grow long nails because they break/peal or just grow in a funky way. I dont like them.

My boyfriend, with CF, has fingernails that grow and grow and they are very strong. He is on ABDEK and takes Ecanasia (sp??).

Mabye I need some vitimans, as it sounds like that may be the issue. Someone mentioned gelatin and/or flaxseed oil vitimans. I may check into that!

My fingernails are awful. They break really easily and peel off all the time.
Thanks for the tips i'm gonna try adding some of those and see what happens. Hopefully i can rival my sister whose nails are long strong and perfect and always laughs at my stubs !!!

Same here...I forgot about my hair. it grows like weeds and it is really strong. My one friend is very envious of my hair (in a friend joking way) and always says she wants me to cut my hair and make a wig for her (when it was long of course).

I look at the strong hair and nails as pluses in a negative disease life <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Is ADEK a multivitamin with A, D, E and K? Or is it something else? Reason I ask is because in Welshwitch's list you also list Vitamin D separately. So I'm not sure.

I thought that when docs were looking at our fingers that they were looking for signs of clubbing, which i've read can happen with people with CF. ~Juliet
