Hello all,
I am 25 and was diagnosed at the age of 15.
I have a few questions that i would like to ask. It's just a little confusing in my head, still, how this whole thing works, so here it goes:
- Is it possible that the medicines we take can actually improve the condition of our lungs? I have always thought that our lungs can only get worse and never better, because it's a degenerative illness or can it actually get better?
- Do you agree that taking antibiotics is really the best way to go when it comes to keeping this illness under control, even when you're not getting worse, as opposed to saving that measure to a later time in our lives when we actually need them more, so to not make the bacteria resitent to the medicines much too early? I only take antibiotics when really necessary (and never IVs, only oral) so that they will be more effective when i really need them.
- A while ago i remember there was a lot of talking about the oregano oil and how good some people felt when nebulizing it. I tried to talk about it with my doc at the time but she didn't take it seriously. Does any of you actually use it and has it been proven to work?
I don't want to make this too long and boring so i will stop here. I will ask more questions at a later time..
Thanks to you all, feel free to just answer 1 of the questions if you feel like it, any feedback will be much appreciated!
