A little confused

I went for my "prenatal councilling" today and I LOVE the OB, she's fabulous, takes an aggressive approach with her CF mommies, and handles 90% of CF mommies for the UW! What has me a little befudled is that my period is 3 weeks late, but all the pregnancy tests I've done (including at the doc's today) have been negative. Its totally possible that my cycle is still trying to straighten out from going off of birth control, but I think I would have gotten my period by now.....

Anyway, she said that if I still don't get my period by the week of the 25th then to do another test. So did anyone else's cycle take this long to figure itself out?

Did they do a blood test or urine? I know urine tests can show negative for quite some time until enough of the hormone is in it.......just curious. That waiting stage.......

So I'm confused...your OB has cared for other pregnancy CF women?

I'm pretty sure that the OB's in my area have not had any (or little) experience with pregnancy CFers.

Well, I wish you the best in figuring out the 'late period' saga....let's hope it's what you want!

Take care.

Jessi-It can take a long time for a cycle to regulate itself after bc, also keep in mind many cf'ers ovulate irregularly to start with and some have irregular cycles. I am confused I thought you were waiting, are you trying to get pregnant now?

Leah-edited to say that my peri has taken care of other cf'ers she was the one that everyone wher she used to practice at woudl send their cf patients.
