my experience with a few nutritionists is that they are never REALLY satisfied, lol. (and they like to change things up a lot) i think they offer the best advice they have whether it is practical or not and you have to do what works best for your child and you. i guess stick with what works, until it doesnt work anymore and then search for something else! God Bless

I agree, nutritionists never seem to be satisfied...AND ours always manages to use a tone that makes us feel guilty when Ellie hasn't gained "enough" weight. Her CF doctor expressed that Ellie is doing fine as she is following a definite upward growth curve. Nutritionists are just doing their job...but it's still frustrating when they make you appear as if you aren't doing all that you should be. Stick with what's working for your little one!

Tabby,
I just wanted to comment on the breastfeeding thing also. Jae had failure to thrive at her one month old visit. I was "advised" to stop breastfeeding and start formula because she was not getting enough. I cried the whole way home from that visit feeling like a failure of a mother only to find out three years later that it wasn't me after all. I stopped all breastmilk when Jae was six months old and 3 weeks later she had a double ear infection and double lung pneumonia.

My point in all this is, DO NOT STOP BREASTFEEDING! At the very least pump what you can for as long as you can! From one mom to another, that advice is dead wrong! So im ditto'in Debbie here and sayin keep it up if you can and always do your own research!
