ok, Jim, I''ll just come right out and say it, i'm a little skeptical of u dear. U keep saying OURs. But what is ours, the fact that some 41 year old man wept like a baby over a person he never met or never met anyone who knew him or even met anyone with CF just doesn't seem stable.

Hey I will take all the publicity from anywhere or anybody for CF if it helps to find a cure. So in the year since u first heard about CF, you've read all about the horrible things the disease does and that it takes so many good people away to soon in life, but u have to help me understand your conection here as for what u want here.

Yeah Bill Gates probably didn't know anyone with CF when he donated money. Do u have money to throw away?

I'm glad you want to do something good in life, I'm with u there, I hope I do some day, so I can get into heaven, but the world is full of sick and crazy people. I would not want some man I've never met or know nothing about visiting my child in the hospital. Can't u get involved in fundraising or volunteering? Again I will ask u, have u ever contacted your local CF chapter and asked "how can I help?"

You may reserve your skeptisism about me. I'll ask you as well if you didn't cry as well when you watched the movie "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze. Because it's all emotion whether real or fiction, people are human and not void of emotion. You rather I cry about Darfar or perhaps the Christain Childrens Fund....I can't.
I watched the TV news segment on the web when Allan was interveiwed when it was still available to see from the news site. Sometimes you can read people pretty good by watching them on TV. Allan was fighting for his life, and that I have never done before. How does one fight for his life.

The mere fact that I never personally met him, nor President John F. Kennedy, President Theodore Roosevelt or anyone else who I have great regard for to whom I have never met....doesn't mean I can't care.

Yes, Bill Gates solution was to throw money at the institution...good for him. Maybe he thinks he's too much of a geek to to to a summer camp and show support in a physical presence than financial. I don't believe in throwing money at institutions, I believe in throwing money to people who need it to use in those institutions. Theirs quite a difference in how it's spent and who gets to spend it.
To end with your last question, the answer is No. No I have not contacted anyone in my CF chapter to ask if their is anything I can help get involved with.
Why?
Because that's what they will probably ask. "Why".
I don't make bitter judgements of people here on this forum 2perfectboys, I came to help, not to be judged.
I will ask that my name and ID and all posts be removed from the website and be deleted for I shall not return here.
You'll just have to see me at some function in Seattle I guess when you get a chance. Oh..btw, if you see any pictures from Seattle events online, look for guy in a t-shirt that reads "Powered By WinAce".
My work in CF is in his memory and dedication to him.
I wish everyone here the best of health always.

I just want to say...

Remember our little chat last time you left, Jim? I was smart enough to save it. If you don't stay away this time, I will happily post it. Your CF fetishism isn't appreciated or needed here. I have never told someone to get out and stay out, but I'm telling it you now.

I don't really know what is going on with the whole thing.. I welcome anyone who tries to raise awareness for CF or money.. if they are legit... The thing I wanted to say is I know someone who is a close friend of mine who used to read on this website and stopped after alan died. It was very emotional for her and she never even talked to him and she is very stable person..

I am not judging one way or another, I am just saying, it is quite possible to read someones blogs and posts and feel attached to them
