Aching body

I get REALLY bad joint pains, and since I have gotten older the "episodes" are coming closer and closer together. On the unbearable days I do take a Vicodin and on the more bearable days I take Ibprofin. For a longer lasting stint I usually have to go on a round of Prednisone. I just started seeing a Rheumotologist and allergist so I am hoping for a more consistant plan.

Chronic pain is no fun. My joint/muscle pains someimes come with welts/red bruises on my lower limbs that burn to the touch and make it impossible for walking. My CF team acts like it isn't a big deal, but it IS a big deal when it is affecting my quality of life.

I hope we all find answers soon!

I have it every day. On the bad days I take a Tylenol and moist heat. A hot shower helps the neck and back. Sometimes I have my hubby massage my ankle, shoulder and wrist joints. Those hurt me the worst. I am afraid to try Prednisone due to my blood sugar issues.

Every year it seems to get worse. When the joint pain gets the worst I get a rash on my face as well.

Today its my right knee. Just throbs!

You guys have all been so helpful. I definately don't feel alone. I've been on a non-stop kick of being sick for months. I feel like things just keep getting worse. This joint pain just won't stop. I saw a rheumatologist and she put me on Celebrex and vitamin D supplement because so far my blood levels showed that it was extremely low. I'm hoping it will help! The doctor said that if it didn't get better she would add Prednisone, but I also don't want to be taking that too much because of my diabetes.
