Advair diskus

I tried the discus thing in high school and found that it made my chest tightening worse, I then tried nebulized pulmicort a year or two ago and also felt that after a few days, it made everything tighter and my mucus harder to get out.

I have now tried symbicort since November-ish and honestly, I haven't been very good at implementing it into my 'routine' but for the most part, I think it is helping with the opening in general during the day.

Also, my pulm doc said that the powder forms can be more irritating that just the puff inhalers, so it might be beneficial to switch and try the non-powder disc kinds.

I'm on Advair 250/50 and I don't notice a thing. I had to ask my dr. why I was on both advair and duoneb. I do notice a difference with duoneb, I just dislike the shakes it gives me.

Thanks guys! I just love getting on here and reading responses!

I asked my doctor about the inhaler or switching to something different...but instead she took me off of hypertonic saline ( she thinks that may be making me tight.) I am a little nervous, but am giving it a try!

Meanwhile, I have not noticed much of a difference with the Advair yet. 3 weeks of IVs and prednisone and still going...something's gotta give!! Haha!
