Advair is not just an antiinflammatory drug but also a long acting bronchiodilator (anti-inflammatory drugs are completely different than bronchiodilators). It is actually a very good drug to take because of this. Unlike duoneb, or albuterol, the advair lasts quite a while. The duoneb and albuterol are short acting bronchiodilatos. The combinations of these two effects really in some aspects makes it one of the better drugs out there (in my opinion) as it does a lot to keep your airways open.

i know what you mean about using all these meds. So once in awhile i would stop something and eventually go back to it.. I use Advair 250/50 twice a day.. I notice when i don't i have more wheezing , especially when i started HTS and inhaled Tobi , i don't know if one of them caused the wheezing but using the Advair seems to help.. I brush my teeth after ea. use.. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> joni

IT WILL PROBABLY HURT, BUT IF THE ADVAIR STOPPED WORKING SWITCH IT UP. I RECENTLY SWITCHED TO A DIFFERENT LONG LASTING INHALER AND IT WORKS GREAT
