My friend is 38 and awaiting a double lung transplant. How old are most patients when they get transplanted? Is 38 too old?

I'm guessing your asking about the numbers? If so, my FEV1 is about 20%. My FVC is higher than the average transplanter, which is why my LAS is so low. It's 42%. I'm on oxygen 24/7. My health took a definate turn for the worse once I was diabetic, which was diagnosed December 2007. Does that help?
