If I know we're going on a longer trip, I call the pharmacy and ask for some smaller bottles for travelling, so I don't have to carry a month's supply plus along.

We just flew two days ago. Whew was I nervous!! So here is what I found...(some repeat from previous post)

Put the nebulizer out in the tray - it has to be screened seperately.

Let security know that you have baby items and meds. They were very accomodating and understanding.

Make sure you meds are labeled with the pharmacy label. This is what TSA says, but they didn't look twice at our stuff.

The applesauce we left in the original container, but I don't think it would be an issue if you used something else.

Take a ton of zip lock bags and try to consolidate the liquids into a few of them. It is much easier when you have to unpack through security and then pack after you get through.

I also consolidated all of her meds/neb/liquids in one travel bag. Again much easier going through security.

Also take tons of antibacterial wipes. We used a whole box during our trip! Our dr recommended wiping her down before the plane ride and after. Just to reduce germs.

Good luck! Have fun!

Yes, I did have a problem with applesauce. But that was a few yrs ago when they first started requiring people to limit liquids. I had a drs note explaining cf and they let me to take it on. I haven't had any problems since. They have never asked about the meds.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 6 and JAck, 4 both with cf

I have an Avery with CF. She is a beautiful, charismatic child. She is so smart and very stubborn. I call her my high maintenace babe...not just the CF but she is a hand full all the way around. I tell you she is so brave and willing to comply with anything we throw at her. I hope you are enjoying yours as much as we are ours.
