This probably isn't going to apply to ports, but with my last PICC, they used a 'frame' tagaderm, that looks similar to the following:

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawebserver?66666UuZjcFSLXTtlX&64xs6EV76EbHSHVs6EVs6E666666--">LINK</a>

I would ask for the pediatric size.

That was so much better than a huge sheet of tagaderm.

Also, before the 'frame' tagaderms were available, one nurse would put a thin layer of gauze between my skin & the sheet of tagaderm and would only leave the part open where the PICC goes in and of course, would leave the outer edge with just tagaderm so it would stick.

I sure hope you can find something that works. There's nothing like constant itching<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0"></end quote></div>

This is the only dressing Reece is NOT allergic too, the other stuff with the orange "frame" eats him alive!

Hey there, Tegaderm definitely makes me itch so I like to use oppsite. It breathes a lot more than tegaderm. It comes in a green package and usually they can order it for me, I havent really had a problem with getting it before.
