I bought the Magic Bullet a couple of months ago and have been making smoothies like crazy. For Ellie (my CFer), I change it up every day, but generally use a mixture of whole milk, splash of heavy cream, some Carnation Instant Breakfast, bananas, whole milk yogurts, coconut milk and a variety of other fruits. I like the idea of ground almonds though, and I'm going to start adding that from time-to-time. If you're going to be making these drinks often, I would recommend the Magic Bullet. It's so much easier for daily use, and better for making individual drinks. My older daughter doesn't need the same high-fat/high-cal diet, so I make her smoothies with lowfat milk, a splash of juice and fresh or frozen fruit.
Coconut milk is VERY high fat and high calorie, by the way. Two ounces of the stuff is 93 calories and 9 grams of fat!!!
