I had full sequencing and the results were back in 3 weeks but it can take 4 or 5. I believe Ambry can do the testing in increments so that they can stop when they find the mutations-that keeps cost down if the person has common mutations. Ambry's billing dept can help answer your questions and I believe they will contact the insurance company directly to confirm coverage, wouldn't hurt to ask.

I personally had to organize the request for approval through Ambry and then my insurance company. The doctors we were working with in CA weren't familiar with ambry either. They are a "newer" company but aren't brand new, it's a shame they aren't better known in the CF community.....
