Lindsey herself just called to say that she is about to head down to the OR. They are going to take her as early as 8:00pm!!! She got about a 1.5 hour nap and awoke very disoriented. After that she didn't want to go back to sleep for fear that she'd be awoken to be taken to the OR and be disoriented again. The delay in transplant turned out to be a good thing, she explained, because her magnesium was low and that gave them time to give her some by IV. She also told me that it felt very weird not to be doing any treatments. I guess she's going to have to get "used to" that!
Lindsey wanted me to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I shared with her some of the things members have typed and she said to let you all know that it means so much to her. You know, sometimes the members of this board fight like brothers & sisters, but we all seem to rally behind another member with that same spirit. That's a beautiful thing.
Kurt will call me later this evening and I will post as soon as I hear.
