Probiotics are definitely a good idea. Our clinic recommends one containing both acidophillus and lactobacillus; there are several formulations that include both of these. Has she been given a cream or ointment to put on the rash (regular diaper rash stuff won't work for this.) That should help a lot too. My son ended up with this kind of diaper rash due to abx when he was a baby and needed an antifungal cream; w/ this being worse for a baby girl I imagine this could make a big difference.

I hope the ENT can help out; glad that appt. is soon.

Cheryl, I'm sorry Grayson is having so much trouble. I agree with the previous posters on the natural remedies. Very helpful!

My boys all had ear drums burst when they were kids. That's what has happened to cause that hole you mentioned. I'm glad you are going to see an ENT. We had to do several sets of ear tubes over about a 3 year period. That helps the fluid drain, and prevents that build up that pushes on the ear drum causing the bursting. Ear pain is just awful! I've had it; even had my ear drum burst, and I have permanent hearing loss from it.

Between the mouth pain & ear pain, it's no wonder poor Grayson doesn't want to eat. I really hope she gets better soon, so you can keep that weight on her. I know what a struggle it was to get where you are. Keep us posted.

My boys think that they are a treat and ask for more<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> You can find it at most health food places. Storing it in the freezer, keeps it most effective.

blessings,
missa

Probiotics has definitely helped Max. He never had a problem with yeast infections while on antibiotics, but he would get diarrhea. I now give him probiotics everyday & whenever he's on antibiotics, he does much better in that department ... he loves them as well & gets them out of the refrigerator for me! In addition, I get yeast infections whenever I take antibiotics so I too started taking probiotics everyday & magically, they work for me as well!!! Hopefully she starts feeling better & can get the lost weight back on. I know that I stress out when Max won't eat and am always concerned about losing ground.
