1 year old daughter became ill in March 2007.Diagnosed as asthma in May but did not repond to pulmocort and albuterol could not stop wheezing-chest x-ray showed hyperinflation and small possible area of collapsed lung? Sent to pulmonologist-He upped her pulmocort,started singulair, asthma still out of control-gave her prediosone-2nd chest x-ray showed small infection (pnuemonia?) -prescribed antibiotic omnicef-Here's the deal-after all this-she wakes up EVERY morning w/tight chest and it takes 2 albuterol treatments to loosen up and start harsh gagging productive cough-She is happy and gets better as day goes on-but starts all over again EVERY morning-What is this? Sinus x-rays clear -no nasal drainage or ear infections.
