The amount your child recieves is not a pre-set percentage of your benefits, nor is the percentage the same for everyone. There is a "cap" on your SSDI benefits based on your work history.

Thank you for that info julie, I know I am a little different due to the fact that when my father passed away I was able to draw on his work history when I became disabled.
