Hi all my friends...had all Zoe's siblings tested last week...the cf dna analysis. Since we knew Zoe's 2 mutations...DF508 and 1117G A. We knew we could have the basic panel done. Well, much to my total astonishment, 2 of my boys from my PREVIOUS marriage came back with the DF508 and the R117H, with the negative T....supposedly meaning they will have "atypical, or not very sympamatic" cf.

They are now on the schedule for Wed. to have the sweat test, and then the doc wants to do the pancreatic test and lung x-rays, also the pft test.

Needless to say I am shocked. The odds that you will marry someone that is a cf carrier is 0.08%. What the hell do you all think the odds are that you would marry 2 different men in you lifetime, that BOTH are carriers????

I think God hates me.
Having Zoe with a pretty good case of cf was bad enough.

Thanks for listening.
Scott and I are at the hotel here in our town, Jacksonville, trying to enjoy our anniversary.

Love,

Jada, I am freaking! Kaylee is also the same genes as Zoe, but I can't imagine what you are going through right now. I'm here if you need to talk, though I know you are "celebrating" your anniversary. <img src="i/expressions/brokenheart.gif" border="0">

Holy Moly talk about a slap in the face... Yikes... From what I understand many ppl with that mutation do not even get symptoms.. usually they are dx with that gene when the man is having fertility problems, such as no vas def. etc..

I think it is a class 5 which is the most mild you can get...

Good luck and prayers to you

I think it might be the opposite - I think you're an amazing mother that has the ability to raise children like not many women I've encountered....

I don't think God hates you. I think it's the exact opposite, although you may not feel like it right now.

::::hugs:::: You're one of the best mothers I know. And you know I don't say warm & fuzzy stuff just to be nice..... I mean it.
