You should sign up through cff.org and consider sending out an email fund raising campaign to your friends and family. The site will walk you through it if you wish. You might just be surprised how much you get. We'd sure all appreciate your fundraising efforts :) Remember cff only funds research efforts so it's a great cause.

I got to two every year! I have a lot of fun there...
Every walk is run a bit different; but at mine we have a silent auction, Star Wars and Midieval people all dressed up. They do a moon bounce and poney rides...face painting and the hair cuttery even sets up a booth to cut hair for CF! If you go to the CFF.org page and then click the Great Strides link, you can enter in the location and find out whats going on at the walk closest to you!

Hey Annie!!
The walks are fun, I've been doing one for like 15-20 years. My friend Rose who's 32 with CF does that walk. She is very fun and I'm sure if she's there you will see her. She says she usually runs it.

My favorite part about the walks is the free food haha..no the whole experience is cool especially because there are usually CF families of newly diagnosed and it gives them hope to see us adults with CF there rockin' CF.

Like everyone says go to www.cff.org to check everything out. I hear that site out there in Santa Rosa is cool. If you do go and see Rosie tell her you know me.
Rock CF!

I'm doing my first one this year, May 3 in Sacramento. I was really surprised at how easy (and FAST) it was to get donations. I've already exceeded my personal goal - of course, getting the REST of my team to get their butts in gear and seek donations is a whole other story. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">

My walk, I was told, is about 2 miles, so I'm a little nervous about that - not sure I can do it, but I'm going to try. My impression is that if I can't really complete it, it's not a big deal. Like Jane said, it's not so much about the walking as it is about the fundraising. (fund raising is supposed to be two words?!)
