anyone ever feel this way

Lately, with my increase in coughing fits, some people either ask if I have a cold, or they're telling someone else I seem to have a cold. Since CF in Japan is a major rarity, I don't go into the details. Sometimes I'll tell them I've got asthma or am getting over a slight cold, or something other than CF...Of course, with "CF Awareness" needed in the states, I'll tell them it's CF related if it looks like they might know what I'm talking about.

I always say its my asthma and allergies hitting me all at once. Never a question asked after that. Everyone knows what asthma is and how annoying allergies can be, but you mention cf and you will be standing there explaining yourself for quite a while. I sure as heck would not want to have to stand there and even attempt to explain cf in a few short sentences to a total stranger.
I kind of relate it to........ when someone says "Hi, How are ya?" They expect you to say "fine thanks", no-one really wants to hear the whole story.
