Yes, there were several times when I was younger that we would go to a check-up, everything seemed great. I felt completely healthy, and a couple days later we would get a call that they wanted to start me on antibiotics. Sometimes the symptoms of an infection can be subtle.

Hi Jean,,
Last summer wen I took Makailyn in for her FU,,, for the first time I didn't have any complaints. I thought she was doing great. I was bragging about how she had been so active and on and on.
Then the bombshell,, her PFT's dropped alot,, X-ray changes, and still full of all those nasty 'CF bugs'.And we have been working alot all this pass year trying to get things stable...
For sure they can 'look' well,,, but that's one of the sneaky things about this disease, looks are decieving
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY,,,keep us updated,
Karla

ps In the picture below is Makailyn's friend Rocky,,,he loves to take her socks off for her.......<img src="i/expressions/dog.gif" border="0">

My daughter got her first cat scan last summer. We just wanted one to get a better idea of what her lungs looked like. She by the way has done great-very few lung issues. But her cat scan showed lots of problems. Mainly inflammation and bronchialectasis. Really surprised us.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 7 and Jack, 5 both with cf, Grant, 5 months, no cf
