Has anyone ever had sometimes where you just cant seem to feel better. Since about Sept I have been feeling sick. Did 3 sets of 2 weeks of cipro and augmentin. Then in Nov I did 2 weeks of Ivs and cipro and augmentin. Then in dec did a week of them both. Then just got off 2 more weeks of them. I also just did 15 days of pregnasoine. 5 days of 30, 5 days of 20, 5 days of 10. Then a week after finshing the antiboidcs and 2 days after the steroids I am getting this congested cough and I am feeling really tight and I am blowing about 100 less on my peak flow meter. It just doesnt seem to get better. Anyone else go thru this?

My numbers are the same. Isnt that weird? My FEV1 has been around 88-84, it was around 81 when I went on Iv and then went back up to 87. And 2 weeks ago it was 86. My 25-75 was down about 5 points last time but that was really about the only change. I think thats what confuses me the most.

I am like that right now. I caught a cold at the end of January and doing 20 days of Amoxicillin (preventive measure) and I am not sick-sick like I was with the cold but I am not well either. Just in that in between stage. I'm gonna to try to get a culture done to make sure my bugs havent popped up for a visit. Maybe the doctors are giving you the wrong antibiotics, get a culture to make sure nothing is growing and if there is, get the correct sensitivities to fight it or maybe you just need a tune-up. Hope you get feeling better.

yeah! Not in the sense that i'm constantly sick, but in the winter i just feel like such crap. It seems like some days (on end) it doesn't matter how strict I am with meds, physio and treatments, i just can't feel better. It's like my chest is always tight and i'm out of breath no matter what i do. It sucks and it's frustrating and i feel your pain!

Right off the bat, I can remember 2 times when I have felt this way...one was when I first cultured MRSA, the other was when I realized that TOBI was making me very short of breath.

Any chance it could be something new you're culturing, as someone else has mentioned, or maybe a new inhaled medication you're using?

Well I am not on anything new, havent been in well I cant remember how long. I am going to ask them to look up my last culture when I call in tomm. Maybe cipro and augmentin just arent what is needed right now. They have used cipro for the past 2 years. I know its the best for what I have but maybe they can switch it up some. Its just enough to drive me crazy I cant feel like I can get well and stay well. I hate feeling like this.
